Their top-of-the-line pots, pans, griddles, grills, and more are treasured both for their brilliant ability to cook food to perfection, as well as their timeless shapes and bold hues. Indeed, the enamel-coated cast iron cookware shows off an entire rainbow of colors, and loyal fans regularly splurge on new pieces or new shades for their heirloom-worthy collection. Now, the cookware company, who make one of our favorite sets of cookware, is exciting fans again with a new shade: Azure, a hue that is rather reminiscent of a deep blue sky or a beautiful sea. According to Le Creuset, Azure was inspired by the soft, deep-blue mineral azurite, but we can't help but be reminded of the aforementioned sea and sky when we see it. This is a shade that will instantly offer a pop of color in even the most neutral of kitchens, and is sure to offer a bit of a mood boost on even the most monotone of mornings. With recent Le Creuset shades including colors like Flame and Nectar, this is a bold new direction sure to get some attention just in time for the holidays. Le Creuset's line has a cult-like following because of the timeless durability of its pieces. Many love the Dutch Oven, for example, because it offers a gorgeous all-in-one pot that beautifully works everywhere from the stovetop to the oven to the broiler. But part of the draw of these pieces has often also been how attractive they look on display in one's kitchen, making a new color option always a very exciting time. The Azure color will be available across the line of cookware, in options ranging from the signature Dutch Oven to the skillet, and much more as of September 1 at Le Creuset Signature Stores, LeCreuset.com, Sur La Table and SurLaTable.com.
