It's never easy having food allergies, but Halloween is certainly one of those tougher times. Trick-or-treating can be a little unnerving when you don't know what's in each candy. Good news: Treats safe for those with allergies have come along way and it's now fairly easy to find a replacement for most kinds of treats. No matter what kind of candy you desire, you can usually find a copycat that will allow you to indulge without fear. But, like with anything else, ALWAYS check the labels to make sure ingredients or processing have not changed.

Dum Dums suckers are mostly free of allergens and are a safe bet for most, but they are finished with a touch of soy oil, so if you are sensitive to soy — beware.
